Advantages: Good quality; fast; easy on the ink cartridges
Disadvantages: shakes a bit!
I have owned a HP710c printer for just over a year, and i cannot fault one single thing about it. Number one, it looks good, which is always a bonus though never essential. Most importantly though is its performance. Most of the time, I print using the 'Econofast' setting. While this saves a lot of ink, the quality is almost as high, and the speed at which it prints in black and white is amazing, about as quick as any home inkjet printer i've seen, and generally quicker than most. Even on the the 'Normal' setting, speed is still very good, and quality is excellent, with virtually no errors or blemishes in the print out. Colour reproduction is also top quality. Thanks to built in Kodak photo quality, all pictures in both colour and greyscale are top quality. Again, I haven't seen a printer in this sector of the market than can produce any better ouput. A final plus point is that it is very quiet. Obviously there is some noise, but it is certainely acceptable, especially when you consider the speed at which it prints. One downside to it is that I have found that it tends to shake a bit while printing. While this isn't a problem, and certanly doesn't cause any problems with respect to the quality of print-outs, it can be alittle annoying when it shakes your table enough that the monitor wobbles about, making it slighly annoying to continue working while it is printing. I solved this though, by putting it on a shelf by the side of the table! Finally, the software is easy to use, and very simple to set up. All in all, you won't go far wrong with the HP710c, especially at the price.
