Advantages: Good quality print outs, reliable
Disadvantages: printer cartridges
I have had the Hewlett-Packard deskjet 710c for about 2 years now and certainly wouldn't change it for a different model. I get this printer as part of a package deal from Currys, but only by sheer luck, as the printer that I was supposed to get was a canon and was out of stock so I got an upgraded one (HP deskjet 710c.) After looking at the canon I'm glad it was out of stock, because although it was small my boyfriend has one and I don't think a lot to it as it doesn't print properly. The Hewlett-Packard deskjet 710c is beige in colour and although it is quite a large model compared to other printers I have found it to offer excellent value for money. As a student I have many essays to write and without a reliable PC and printer I would probably have been extremely stressed by now, because although I am studying an ICT course I still find computers can play up and must say that they can cause a lot of stress. Luckily for my printer has been extremely reliable and I haven't had to have it repaired (touch wood. In fact the only problem i've had with it was a paper jam, which was resolved quickly. The Hewlett-Packard deskjet 710c prints in 3 quality types draft, normal and best. It also prints in colour and black and white. It is easy to use and includes Kodak image enhancements. The Hewlett-Packard deskjet 710c can also print envelopes and has a neat and tidy inbuilt paper tray, with a clip to hold the paper in place. The printer is also easy to assemble and I found there were no problems when installing it to the PC. The only disadvantage is the print cartridges cost about £15 or more.

- 06/07/01 I've got a HP Deskjet600 which I've been using now for 6 years! My next printer will also be a HP if their build quality is still the same! |
