The HP 840C is my second HP prinetr, my first one being the 640C which I purchased a couple of years ago. I have had my HP 840C for 6 months now and i'm very happy with it. It has proved to be a very versatile machine, with reasonably fast printing speeds, and excellent colour printing quality when used on "best" print quality, and Hewlett Packard photo quality paper. I haven't seen a better printer for printing out photos on than the photo quality that we can see in this printer.

Operation of this machine and maintenance tasks like changing ink cartridges is an absolute doddle. I haven't had to replace my cartridges yet however because this printer is very economical when it comes to ink use and you can also use cheap paper for generic tasks that don't require the top quality stuff and you'll still be astounded at the results.

You can get replacement bits and pieces for this printer from all over the place. Partners, Dixons and many other High Street stores offer cartridges for this printer and you will find a full Hewlett Packard range from places like PC World not only for this printer but for all HP printers.

If you are in the market for a new printer at the moment I can wholeheartedly recommend this one as it has great performance at an affordable price. The only downside is the cost of replacement cartridges unless you buy the generic ones.
