I have had an 890C for 3 1/2 years now, it is great for printing on card - handles 260g card stock with ease, and envelopes print well, but you are best to keep an eye on them, occasionally one will not drop and you will get the print from the next envelope on it. I have noticed a build up of black ink just under the docking well, but it is easy to remove and wipe out, otherwise you might get a smudge on the end of your page. This is actually an opinion for the 895cxi - at the time of writing there was no category for this great printer. When I first started using computers and accessories, finding the perfect printer to do those excellent quality jobs was a task. My first printer being an Epsom I figured this was the best I was going to get. I've had a deskjet 890C for little over a year now, and it was the best deskjet on the market at the time of purchase. The software has been upgraded several times to cope with numerous bugfixes, and its drivers now come as standard with the Windows 98/2000/Me bundle. But watch out if you're buying it. There's some nice features such as the separate envelope feed and Kodak image enhancements - but I have now found that it doesn't cope well with feeding paper. The printer only functions well with a paper-stack of about 1cm in thickness - more or less and it will struggle to even take the paper off the pile and throw errors at you.
