I bought this printer for my small business to replace a very reliable and very old basic Epson C88+ printer that finally wore out. The printer setup took longer than expected, mostly because instruction manuals are a thing of the past. I eventually got it working and had no problem printing plain paper photos. The first glossy photo I printed (We use Quill brand 8x11 paper.)was really bizarre and wet and I figured out that the paper was upside down in the tray (remember, no manual). When I turned the paper the correct way the rollers could not pick it up and send it through the printer. We use 72 weight paper and the tech specs say it takes up to 75 weight paper. I guess the specs are wrong. We are waiting for a return label and I am waiting to see how much trying out this printer for one day is going to cost me. If they still made the Epson 88 I would buy another in a heartbeat. Newer is not always better.
