Good personal printer - excellent for photos (HP Photosmart 7450)

I've had this printer for a while now and am very pleased with it. Photo printing (on premium glossy paper) is better than any photo store - just make sure you select the correct paper type and size for best results (sometimes selecting better quality paper can improve things dramatically, though increase ink use too). Talking of the ink, it uses one black and one colour cartridge so you won't waste coloured ink if you print a lot of b&w documents. The photo paper (6in x 4in with tab) slots in a caddy so there are no misfeeds, in fact the printer has never jammed since I've had it. Please bear in mind though, my useage is pretty low so I'm not saying this would be a robust office device. A4 printing is good too, but it really shines as a photo printer and buying this device saves you having to buy two different ones.

When not in use, the paper tray stows away in the main body itself, freeing up desk space and making it a very neat and tidy solution. I've used it fine with Windows 2000, XP and Vista Home Premium although all the utilities are not available for Vista but printing is fine.

It has memory card readers too which could be useful if you've lost your camera USB lead or your PC does not have them. The only problem I've had is a tempermental on/off button but otherwise it has been an excellent printer and good value.
