Advantages: Compact
Disadvantages: Always jams, Awful print quality, Terrible build quality
Well I really want to write somthing in favour for Lexmark but time after time Lexmark give us nothing to make us like them! I bought my computer new and as part of the package came my new Lexmark 1100 printer! Wow I had never had a inkjet printer so I was expecting quite a lot. The actual printer is quite good looking (if you can say that!) finished in a plastic beige effect and is quite compact. Sadly, its the general performance of this thing that is dreadful. Printing is what its for and it rarely does that. When you select somthing to be printed, the printing wizard usually informs you of an 'error' with the printer device. Its usually that theres no paper when there blatantly is! When you feed it with paper, you have to really shove the stuff in and then when it grabs it - it grabs every single sheet - somtimes 100 sheets and this causes it to start making loud noises and stops, ruining 100 sheets of A4! When you do actually get it to print a completed print-out it is normally of average quality and the black is badly defined and fades. I bet the insurance company loves these (not), mines been back twice with little change and they simply say "its a Lexmark!" in a sort of 'what do you expect' tone!! I understand that this is a base model printer for Lexmark but how this passed quality control I will never know. Avoid Lexmark if you can!
