Lexmark Z12 - expensive or what (Lexmark Z12)

Advantages: none Disadvantages: slow , expensive consumables
I purchased a lexmark z12 printer last year, it was a cheap printer on offer at Staples, great i thought at last the kids could print off their homework. The printer itself looks quite nice not overly large, so i installed it onto my computer which was running windows 98 everthing went fine. Then came the test print .....eventually! The printer was very slow on all its settings, and i was constantly having to reclean the print head. The next problem came when i decided to get a black cartridge and a new colour cartridge for the printer(the z12 takes either a colour or black cartridge ,not both)i rang all the local stockists and was told that it was £24 for a black and £26 for the colour , a bit expensive i thought so i proceeded to go through magazines to find a compatable cartridge, not a chance. I know some cartridges are expensive but £ 50.00 is a little over the top, for a printer which quite frankly isnt that good. So what happened to the printer? it went on a car boot sale and i bought an Epson 480 with cartridges at £5.00 a set. Summary: |
