 Lexmark Z13 Inkjet Printer

Lexmark Z13

Description: The ideal printer for smaller home printing needs.

Newest Review: ... No doubt I do not need to say the above actions should not be necessary when simply un-installing a printer. The Lexmark Z13 ... more

... is a poor printer, even at the price, and my personal opinion from experience is to avoid it. For another ten or fifteen pounds you find the entry-level Canon and Epson printers which perform more to expectations and most importantly use cheap ink replacements. While the Z13 may be acceptable for those who don't mind mediocre quality and either paying the Earth for new ink or selling their printer every month, for the majority, I would imagine it is a very poor choice. The Lexmark Z13 now sits in shame at the botto...more

Crowned Review Lexmark Z13: The Worlds First Throw Away Printer? (1043 words)
by - written on 17/03/02 (Very useful, 1790 readings)
Rating:

When my old printer finally died it was time to go in search of another. I'm not the type of person who is impressed by the latest state of the art million dots per inch super photo realistic printer. All I want to do is print out text, maybe with graphs or diagrams in, but nothing particularly detailed and nothing that requires anything more than the most simple colour inkjet printer. I also didn't want to spend a lot of money on it either, so I figured I'd just go for the cheapest one I could. From what I could remember the cheapest printer would have set me back £50 or more, but a quick trip to pricerunner revealed a £25 bargain in the form of ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review False economy defined (1264 words)

Having been a student for the majority of my life, printing from home has never been a necessity for me. There has always been a printer of quality far beyond my means available at school, college or university, so for years I did not even consider adding a printer to my PC. That changed recently when I was, shockingly, forced to work for a year and suddenly discovered life without free printing. Cue a stroll down the unfamiliar aisles of computer stores, printers stacked ten-deep, a maze of features and dots per inches that left me yearning for the good old days of dot matrix monstrosities that just did the job and left you alone. The Lexmark Z13 was my choice ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lexmark Z13: New printer for less than a Ink Catridge (1415 words)

Printers. OK they’re not the most exciting things to write about but when there is a bargain to be had, I’ve got to let everyone know! The cost of my Lexmark Z13? £24.99! Yes that was the cost of my new printer! Plus a £2.99 P+P charge but still it was under £30! I bought it from Dixons Online but you can buy it from any of your local Currys, Dixons or PC World for £29.99 (which is only a few pounds more) at the moment. Apart from an Apollo branded printer at £39.99, I couldn’t recall a printer being this cheap! This model was originally £50 RRP, so yes, it has been reduced to around half price! What a bargain! I’ve been looking a ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review TOP MARKS FOR LEXMARK...... (1230 words)

I was desperately in need of a new printer after my Epson 440 passed gracefully on, so after careful consideration and price ranges I decided to go for the Lexmark Z13. So after purchasing your printer, you will need to set it up, you will need to purchase a USB cable as this is not included with it, these retail in Dixon's and Curry's etc for £14.99 but a trip to Argos or Index and you can pick one up for only £6.99. The printer comes with one coloured cartridge (yes this model only takes one at a time), however you can buy a black one and use that alone too. A power supply box, power cable, printer ink storage box for using ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lexmark Z13: Great printer for a great price! (690 words)

When I decided to treat myself to a new computer recently I also decided to have a new colour printer. I had always had a black and white one until then so I thought it was time I moved up to colour. I chose not to buy the PC and printer package as it included a scanner and a digital camera both of which we already have. So I sent Dave to have a look at the printers whilst I was organising the interest free credit on my computer. PC World had a good selection of printers at a good selection of prices! I didn't intend paying a fortune as I had just agreed a price of £499 for my new computer so I chose the Lexmark Z13 for £49.99. The assistant in PC ...  Read the complete review
