Advantages: Dual-head, Easy usage

Disadvantages: Bulky size

You've been probably thinking how good is this printer by todays standars. Skipping the technological spcifics this printer is as avrage as avrage gets. It's good for personal use, for making essays for school or printing buisness documents. It has very nice detail (resolution) and at maximum it can get extraordinarily clear pictures even for a ink-jet printer. The speed is just bearable becouse with added detail it also takes more time so with a medium detail, b/w page it's speed whould be 3-4 ppm. It's dual-headed so you can print only b/w or only colour without having to replenish a whole cartridge. The cartridges themself cost like a brand new printer so a general suggestion is to use reffilers.Interesting fact: this printer can also print on 0.25 thicker papers. A inconvenient is it's bulky size...this printer ,of course, was made for desktop use but it can be iritating just trying to place it someware. The connecting is easy so any hardware newbie can do it, just a paralel connection and a power cord w/transformator.The software it comes is limited to "just the basics" kind of package but the Paint Gallery 3 easily stand out. PG3 is a little application that has tons of paintings and can create bookmarks/posters/<you name it>. Overall this is an avrage printer good if you are short on cash and just want the basics.

I've got a Lexmark - not the same one though but a good idea with ink is when it runs out buy a cheap printer with cartridges included, keep the cartridges, sell the printer. It costs less than new cartridges and you get a bit back on the printer too.

You can only buy this printer second hand now. Also you'll struggle to get refillable Lexmark cartridges as the cartridges contain a chip. I've tried the one and only refil kit I could find for Lexmark cartridges and it was useless. I'd avoid Lexmark unless you are only an occasional printer.
