I bought the Lexmark Z53 a couple of years ago due to its very low price and great specs. Unfortunatly, I cannot say it was a bargin. This printer uses up ink as if there is no tomorow. Even on the lowest quality printing, a standard ink cartridge is used up before you know it and the ink cartridges are by no means cheap. In terms of quality, the photo's seemed alright, but not great. I wanted a new photo quality printer to replace my Epson Stylus 900. I like the 'straight-paper-path' approach of the Epson but found the speed didn't live up to expectation. Enter the Lexmark. How about a full colour high resolution A4 photograph printed in less than 10 minutes (it would have been quicker but my PC is past its sell by date). Setting up the Lexmark was so easy my 6 year old daughter could have done it. Text quality is also ...
