Advantages: Cheap to purchase

Disadvantages: Expensive cartridges, bad drivers

I bought the Lexmark Z53 a couple of years ago due to its very low price and great specs. Unfortunatly, I cannot say it was a bargin. This printer uses up ink as if there is no tomorow. Even on the lowest quality printing, a standard ink cartridge is used up before you know it and the ink cartridges are by no means cheap.
In terms of quality, the photo's seemed alright, but not great. The included software is also very limited and the drivers would conflict with the drivers of my sound card (sounds wierd but it is true). The printing speed is ok though.
Considering the above, I cannot recomend this printer to anybody. There are many more printers on the market which cost more or less the same or little more but with which, the end user ends up saving a lot of money and hassle in the long term.
