Hello and welcome to this review!
I needed a pinter that printed crrisp black text for invoices. My other Lexmark was not printing them in black, it was coming out more green so I set off to find a new printer:)

This seemed great. It had its own black cartridge to ensure crisp black text and also a colour. It was only 14 Pounds in Wilkinsons WOW! The box was nice and compact and easy to carry

When I got the printer home I opened the box and inside was:
The printer
A colour cartridge
A black cartridge
Power cord
And instructions.

The USB cord is not included.... As most printers don't include them they are easily available. They cost around 3.99. Can be found on Ebay very easily if you have not already got one.
Please note that the ink cartridges supplied in the printer box are trial cartridges.....They are half full basically. I didn't mind as the price was so low for a good printer.

The printer was very easy to set up.. Just pop the cartridges in, plug it into the wall. You then need to install the printer software before plugging the USB in. Once its installed just plug the USB in and away you go!
Now the first time I pressed print I was shocked! This printer talks... Omg I thought it was the Devil after me at first as my speakers were up full! Nearly had a heart attack.
So be careful with that! It shouts ""Printing Started""

Now when my page of writing came out I was very impressed. Great black text and colour came out perfect. The printer is very noisey in use, sounds like a jet engine at times.. But this does not bother me.
The speed of printing is amazing though.. It really prints fast. It can print a page of 10% text in something like 7 seconds. Fantastic!

The paper is fed in the top of the printer.. which is a bit of a pain! as it cannot be sat under a small shelf, something that my HP printer was able to do:( Oh well.
So far this has been good on the cartridges, they seem to last quite long. Hopefully they will last a bit longer because they cost more than the printer itself. Its rediculous that they charge so much for ink these days.

Black: 12 Pounds.
I don't mind paying that if they last a long tme, but as I have only had this printer a week I cannot comment but I will keep you updated.

In the software supplied by Lexmark there are some handy features, Such as printer head cleaning - Used to clean any dried ink from the cartridge. There are also many other cleaning and performance enhancing programs inside.
Even though the printer is not descibed as a photo printer I have printed a few phones on 4 x 6 Paper. It did a great job! I was very suprised. The quality of the picture was great. It came out a bit streaky on the normal print setting.... But when put on high quality they came out superb.. Good enough to put in an album!

The printer includes a 2 year warranty which is very kind of Lexmark:)
Overall this is a fantastic printer at this price. Get to Wilkinsons before they are all gone!! A real bargan.
