Advantages: cheap to purchase, reasonable quality
Disadvantages: very expensive to run
I bought a lexmark Z65 about 6 months ago and was reasonably pleased with it to start off with, its a tidy little printer ideal for home use, its about 400mm in width by 210mm in depth and stands about 100mm in height.
It prints around 8 pages per minute in colour format which means it is not the quickest printer around although the quality of printing is very high and it prints pictures and photos very well which is one of reasons I bought it.
When I purchased this printer I asked roughly how long the printer cartridges would last, and was told that on average they should see you clear of around 2000 sheets of paper, unfortunatley if you do alot of printing you can over half this as mine averages around 600 sheets which makes this quite expensive as cartridges cost around £35 a time for colour and £25 for black and white although you can by non-lexmark cartridges through such site as ebay but they do not last very long at all and are certainly not off the same quality.
The printer it self, a Inkjet colour Lexmark Z65 comes with all the necessary equipment, Drivers, USB cable and cartridges, it is compatible with all windows based systems although it only recommends the newer version 98/NT/2000/ME/XP. It was relatively easy to set up and the instuction manual that came with the printer was clear and esay to understand.
After talking to friends about lexmark printers many have said the same thing so I have to say that although there is nothing wrong with the quality of print that lexmark produce the cost of running these machines is to great and I certainly would not buy another.
