My Xerox C8 came as part of a computer package from Currys, to buy separately at the time it cost £49. It worked fine until it came to replacing the cartridges and after that for some reason it never worked properly ever again! It was exceptionally noisy and a major disadvantage is that it has no on/off button meaning every time I switched my computer on, the printer would start whirring away which was annoying. Paper jams were also a common occurence. Instead of having a black and colour cartridge, it has 4 separate cartridges, this is supposed to be an advantage so that you only need to replace the single empty cartridge. Trust me, it is not an advantage, it just gives the printer more of an excuse to leak ink and it leaked a lot! Then it started printing pink and then it stopped printing altogether. Xerox replaced it three times with reconditioned models. The Xerox service is rubbish, I had 3 days off work waiting for Xerox to deliver my replacement printer in which they never came. Phoned them time and time again and all I got was "they will come tomorrow". In the end I returned to Currys and demanded to the manager that I had a refund (Currys send the printers off to the manufacturers, they don't repair them themselves). I now have an Epson which is working fine.
