Advantages: Price, Print quality, Speed
Disadvantages: Noisy, Size
I bought this printer this week and paid a measly £39.99 in my local comet store. For this money I got a printer with a resolution quality of 1200x1200, not fantastic but good enough for this price!. Included in the box was all the necessary ink cartridges (1xBlack 1xRed 1xYellow & 1xBlue) and all the power leads. When the time comes to replace the ink cartridges they will set you back £10.99 for each colour and about £25.99 for the black, but the advantage of this printer is that the colours are separate, so you only replace what you need too. Also the cartridges seem to last a long time. Since I bought the printer, and I've used it a fair bit the ink seems to have dropped very little on the status monitor in the printer software, perhaps it has something to do with the ink logic system the printer runs on. Another useful feature on this printer is the picture logic system which aims to improve the quality of low resolution (e.g. Scanned images) if there is sufficient data available. This Feature does seem to help a little when printing really poor quality images in best print mode. The print quality is quite amazing anyway for this little money, photographs look sharp and the colours are very accurate too, and secondly the rate at which it prints is something else too, especially in the express mode which doesn't reduce the print quality much either!. The software provided with the printer made it easy to set up, you just put the disk in, install the drivers, switch off your computer and connect the printer and then switch your computer back on again! That simple!. Build quality is impressive too the printer feels robust enough for the money and if it doesn't last much longer that a year, I won't complain, not at this price! The Docuprint M750 is compatible with Windows 95, 98, Me and Windows NT. Glenny

- 04/02/02 True, the reason I bought this was because my canon BJC 4300 needed a new print head at a cost of £40, and that was the cheapest I could find it. I have now ended up with a way better printer!

- 04/02/02 I need new black and colour cartridges for my printer, but it would be cheaper to buy a new printer for £39.99! |
