The ProtectTools Smart Card kit will grant users access to Windows NT by generating a random password for logging on to a PC loaded with the operating system. The kit will also allow users to store passwords for applications or Internet sites they use frequently on the smart card, so they don't have to remember and re-enter the information each time they use the application or visit the site. HP's aim is to help users keep passwords organized and keep those passwords out of the hands of other individuals.
