Having achieved and held a full protected no-claims discount for years my then vehicle was systematically attacked, torched and evidence stolen.

The local authority [Manchester City Council] do not want to know [so much for 24 hour on-site security, cameras lights]. CGNU Group washed their hands of policy.

5 years on I am still waiting for resolution to fully comprehensive policy. With an unsettled claim alternative insurance is either unavailable or comes with punitive premiums keeping me off the road.

Why do insurers reject the fact they are little more than privilaged bookies taking bets from punters convinced they will make a claim?
