Advantages: Cheap, Good Cover

Disadvantages: Direct Debit problems!

Before buying a car I had quite a few quotes from different companies. Churchill were the cheapest by far, and after finally deciding on a car I emailed churchill asking about setting up a monthly direct debit. I explained that I couldnt have a direct debit from my account because it was an under 18's account at the time and they emailed back saying I could set up the insurance from a third party account.
I then bought the car and came home to insure it so I could collect it the next day. I was then told that I could not set up a direct debit from a parents account and had to pay the amount up front, despite my mum consenting over the phone. After the misunderstanding I then had to scrape the money together and pay off the insurance and the car!
Apart from that everything is fine with churchill. I struggled to pay on the internet, so I rang them and they helped me with the payments and were very helpful. All I can say is that if you do take the churchill cover it is best to ask questions over the phone rather than via email! They do occasionally email with offers and promotions, but you can opt out of these. Personally I am happy to have these.
The company are very cheap and I would reccomend to everyone, especially learners and first time drivers who are under 25.

Summary: Good, cheap insurance especially for younger drivers.
