I used to work for Currys, and after buying a new MacBook, iPod Touch, 160GB iPod, 42" Panasonic TV package (including a nice 10% staff discount) I was forced to claim on the whatever happens product support which I brought for each of the products. The terms and conditions state that repairs will take no longer than 21 days, and is so will send you vouchers to purchase a new one, however, over a month passed, VERY POOR levels of commujnication between the store (ie I left at least 8 messages to to contacted back because the person I needed to talk to was "busy") very POOR communication between the service centre, and their "Tech Guys". The whatever happens is HIGHLY PROFFITABLE for the store, and sales people who con you into buying it. It really is equivelent to THROWING YOU MONEY AWAY. Please DO NOT consider purchasing this " support service", if you already havem you have 45 days in which to claim a FULL refund for the cost of the product support. Otherwise a pro-rata refund will be given. Their "Tech Guys" will try their best to come up with excuses to not fix your products, they will send them back late, and in the case of BOTH my iPods (which were sent for repair) they came back DENTED, and the 160GB iPod was not even repaired. Do not be fooled by the sales people, they will con you, as this is how they are trained to make you part with your hard earned cash. Best bet is to get REAL insurance, via home insurance, Bank etc !! Good luck guys!!
