I purchased my Hotpoint washing machine in 2007 along with a 5 year What Ever Happens policy. On 30th July 12 it broke down. I rang WEH and all was looking good when they said an engineer from Hotpoint would come on 2nd August and he did. He said that parts where needed and that I would hear from them in 3-5 days when he would came back and fit the parts. After 5 days on the 7th August and again hearing nothing I contacted Hotpoint to be told the the parts where not in yet but they would be in on Friday 10th August and they would be processed and fitted by the middle of the following week. I heard nothing by 14th August so rang again (each of these phone calls I was left on hold for at least 25mins) to be told once again the parts where not in and as soon as there were I would be contacted. I then phoned WEH I spoke to a nice man called Andrew who said he would contact Hotpoint and sort out what was going on and call me back, which he did saying that Hotpoint would deffinatley have the parts in on Friday 24th and would come and fit it that same day or because the 21 day fix it or replace it promise would be up on the Thursday 23rd I would be entitled to a new machine it was up to me I told him that if they could repair it on the Thursday I would be happy to have it repaired but I wouldn't be around on the Friday He said that they couldn't so he would write it off and make the arrangements for a new machine. On the Friday I got a text from Hotpoint saying the engineer had called and that there was no one in Andrew had told me that he would inform them but he couldn't have done. I rang WEH and after another 45 mins hold on the phone the lady said she would get on to Hotpoint and see what was going on and call me back ASAP she never did. I phoned again on Saturday 40 mins on hold and was told the same thing this time I was called back they said that they had again they wrote the machine off and that Hotpoint would be contacting me on Tuesday about picking up my machine and delivering a repalcement new machine. Never got a call on Tuesday so phoned Hotpoint myself got through after 25 mins the girl there said that there is a record of WEH phoning them on Saturday but not that they had wrote it off. At my wits end now so went into my local Currys who did the same as me 30 mins on hold just to be told that it had been written off again today and that Hotpoint be ring in the next 5 days to arrange replacement !!!! This is the way Hotpoint fore fill their contract with WEH. I feel so let down by WEH I've got no faith in Hotpoint anymore but was more or less told this is how it is. I spent a small fortune in the laundrette and this stress is beyond words never again will I pay out for a stupid insurance thats not worth the paper its written on !!!!

Summary: Would never bother with a Currys What Ever Happens insurance again total waste of time and money
