I mus admit, I found the whateverhappens insurance extremely useful for my claim. I had a 45" DLP TV which after 18months or so the bulb went. Despite the bulb not being covered by the policy, the guys took it in anway and repaired the TV and replaced the bulb... Brilliant, considering the bulbs are nearly £300. I BOUGHT A SONY 32KDL TV WORTH 799.00 AT THE TIME, IT GOT WRITTEN OFF BY TECH GUYS AFTER 3 PHONE CALLS AND NEARLY 4 WEEKS AND THEY SENT ME VOUCHERS OF 399.00 NOT IMPRESSED AS U CAN NOT EVENT PURCHACE A SONY FOR THAT PRICE NOW HAVING TO MAKE MORE PHONE CALLS AND BEING PASSED ON TO TRY AND GET MORE VOUCHERS

Very good review, my 3 year old matsui 42" plasma's screen started flashing pixels on 1st jan 08 , thought my garantee had run out so bought a new 50" Panasonic, then found the garantee was ongoing, phoned the whatever happens number on 9th jan, repair man came on the 12th jan, scrapped it because no part available for it, vouchers for £600 arrived today 15th jan which i thought was very good as the matsui is not HD anything. I don't want a new tv with the vouchers as i'd already bought one. Thanks to your review i can now buy something else.

I used to work for Currys, and after buying a new MacBook, iPod Touch, 160GB iPod, 42" Panasonic TV package (including a nice 10% staff discount) I was forced to claim on the whatever happens product support which I brought for each of the products.
