Cheap and very Friendly (Halifax Household Insurance)

Advantages: Optional Extra Cover to keep the price down as you can choose what to have

Disadvantages: £250 Excess on damage caused by Escape of Water

I have been with the halifax for 3 years now and haven't had to make a claim thank god Fingers Crossed

I only have contents with them and no Buildings insurance Price for the contents is £11.50 per month which is not bad for Contents Personal belonging and Mobile phone cover.

Halifax home insurance is very good Full replacement for contents insurance High Risk Items Std £7.5k with a single item limit of £1.5k which covers things like audio video and computer equiptment jewellery etc Basically anything a burglar would go for first. you can Choose different TOTAL limit but i didn't need to change this also standard contents cover Accidental damage to audio Video and Computers as Standard so you don't have to have extra Accidental damage cover to replace your TV if damaged by falling on the floor etc. I also have Personal belonging which covers things outside the home for loss theft and accidental damage so if i had my laptop stolen from me i would be covered for the replacement new for old upto £1000.00 which is more than enough. Mobile phone cover also covers me for my mobile upto £500.00 but this only excludes damage caused by liquid Which most companies do now anywhy.

There is optional extra cover also like Accidental Damage Cover Matching of Items Cover Credit card Cover which you have to pay and extra premium to buy.

Overall I do recommend Halifax Home Insurance Any day the only downside is when you have a leak from a pipe etc you have to pay an additional excess of £250.00 plus your std excess
