Poor customer services (Norwich Union)

In all honesty, no matter how low their quote was, never again would I go to Norwich Union for my car insurance (or any other insurance for that matter).

I crashed my car (it was my fault and I took 100% responsibility for it) and called them straight away. They said take it to this garage and they will deal with it, repair it and get it back to you.

I complied 100% with everything they asked me to do, 6weeks later, the garage hadn't even started on my car because of some admin point that hadn't been completed. I called NU, they said they would deal with it. Another week and I called the garage again who told me they had ordered the parts, another week and I complained to NU who weren't interested.

The incompetency of the garage was unbelievable although that's not entirely NU's fault, I did complain and manage to get a free courtesy car because they agreed they had been pretty useless.

Anyway, finally I got my car back, 8 months later I received a court summons because NU hadn't paid the insurer of the other party involved. This wasn't even a big accident, I needed new bumper, lights and bonnet, the other guy needed new rear bumper and in typical style claimed for whiplash.

Why was I getting a court summons? You would think that I was the first person they had ever insured who had crashed their car. Unbelievable, poor customer services.

Never again
