I have had my car insurance with Norwich Union for the past four years. Each year at my renewal I have looked around the various other large companies, brokers etc. and I allways find that I have the best deal.

With a comprehensive plan that includes a fairly low excess, replacement hire car and locks & key loss cover the policy gives real peace of mind.

The premiums are not excessive and unlike most ensurers there is not a large penalty you for paying monthly direct debits.

One problem I did have with Norwich Union direct is actually getting through to talk to someone about my policy. Whilst their service isn't bad (can be a little wishy washy) getting through their frustrating phone system is a nightmare.

All I can say about them is this, if you want a comprehensive and reasonable quote they are excellent and definatly include them on your list. If your quote is tricky or you are have prior convictions etc. they can be a bit tricky.
