Advantages: Mainly young people who hang out there.

Disadvantages: Expensive prices.

This is a popular student destination in the capital Oslo, and as the name implies is intended for students.

Located near several university's it carters to primarily that type of crowd. The age group is about 21-30, at night when they serve alcohol, you need id in order to get in, the age limit is 21. If you are a foreigner and don't have id, it isn't always so strict, and I have had friends of mine who were 18 pass without problems.

The venue consists of two floors both of which have a large bar, the decor is wooden and there are tables scattered throughout the two floors. On the weekends, the lower floor converts into a mini disco, where a live DJ, will create the mood. Dring the week days, instead of a disco, there is live piano music, creating a more relaxed and friendly atmosphere for a chat, and drinks.
During the day, the basement is used as an internet café, The machines are quite cheap to use according to Norwegian standards (NOK35, 3.3 pounds per hour).

The prices are expensive, but Norway is very expensive in general, so keep that in mind. However, due to its convenient location on the end of the walking street, bar tabs are higher then other less prodigious bars.

In Norway it is not required to tip the barman, and you will not be waited at your table, (except for some more exclusive clubs) you must order your drink at the bar, and while you can leave the spare change as a tip, it is not required.

So if you are in your mid twenties and want to hang out with other people your age this is a great place to go!
Also because it caters to university students, you don't get the mixed crowd that you find in other bars. So if you would rather not hang out with the Hells Angels, and Goths, then you can be sure that they wouldn't be caught dead in this place.
I am only giving it 4 stars because of the expensive drinks, and the fact that other then the location and crowd, it dosnt have much more to offer then other bars on the main street.

Summary: A bar, which caters to universiy students, you wont find much riff raff there!
