Advantages: no busy shops, or waiting on que's for hours

Disadvantages: Be careful on what you buy as some sites don't do refunds

Living out in the sticks, and not being able to drive ( i think i may have mentioned it before ) It's hard for me to be able to get to shops and hunt for christmas bargains, also the thought of trawling round shops with two young children in tow, gives me the shivers!
Last year and this year i'm doing the majority of my rather big shopping list off the internet.
There are hundreds of sites i could name but have narrowed it down to my favourite top ten, which i consider the easy to use, cheapest, and quality of service.

~ Buyagift.co.uk~
I used the site last year to buy gifts for my partner and mum, the first being a day at silverstone for my partner, i paid about £100, for him to spend the day there and experience what it's like to drive a formula one racing car, he also learned some history into racing, was taught about safety aspects, and driving techniques, his face was a picture on Christmas morning and loved the day throughly, my only worry this year is trying to top that.
I also brought my mum a lovely hamper, which consisted of things like, wine, chocolates, shortbread, conserves, and liqueurs, which she loved, the hamper cost around £25-30.
90% of items are all next day delivery and delivery costs are low.

~ Argos.co.uk ~
I use the argos website regularly through the year, but even more at christmas, a couple of years ago about two weeks before Christmas day i went into a shop and it was packed and took about a hour to get what i needed, i now find the website so much easier, and they have various offers on items leading up to christmas, I mainly use this site for children's toy's, and jewelery.

~The gadget shop.co.uk~ Having two uncles and a brother who are gadget mad, i find this site perfect to pick up the latest wackiest gadgets for them, from mini football tables, to rotating money box's, it doesn't take long to find the perfect gift, plus they are very cheap, and the service is excellent.

~Early learning center. co.uk~ I use this site because my nearest ELC shop is about 30-40 miles away, last year i brought my daughter lots of things from here including, dressing up outfits, role play toy's like ovens, and Hoovers. The delivery times are quick and they email you when your items have been dispatched, at the moment they have 20% off most toy's.

~ Boots.com~ The local boots store we have in town is very little to say the least and they don't have a wide selection of christmas gifts on offer, i get the christmas book and the majority of things they don't stock so i use the site to get items like gift sets for my sisters, and character bath products for my children.

~ WHsmith online.co.uk~ Again our local smiths is tiny, my Nan and granddad are big readers and so is my mum, i use the site to pick up new releases, which are often cheaper online, and i love the wide selection of calenders to chose from too. I also get my daughters annuals from here.

~ Ebay.co.uk~ Being the eBay addict i am i love scouring across the site and looking for bargains, our if im looking for something i can't find in the shops, you can normally find it here, i tend to pick up things like children's party clothing, and sports memorabilia for my football fanatic nephew and uncle.

~ Amazon.com~ I only discovered amazon last year, but got a lot of bargains of there, like character dinner sets, and toy's for my daughters. Delivery is quick and postage is low.

~ Play.com~ Every year my sisters and brother ask for the latest albums, and dvd's, play.com is very cheap and sometimes half the price of retail shops, they seem to stock every type of cd, dvd and games, and the site is very easy to use and get round.

~ Marks and Spencer.com~ I love hunting around on here for little gifts for the girls, and my sisters, i also like there hampers, and range of men clothing, although the shop isn't cheap, you can get some all quality presents at relativity low prices if you look hard enough, i like the food from there to and tend to make a trip to one of there stores to stock up before christmas.

Well that was my top ten websites, which i find the most useful and easy to use, with more and more people resenting the thought of trailing through shops at the busy christmas periods, christmas shopping online is a genius idea.

Summary: Online shopping' ideal for the lazier side of us
