Advantages: Money, friendly members, gives me a chance to write about anything
Disadvantages: Can be addictive!
I know I haven't been here very long, but I think I have enough of a feel for it to do this, so it'll do until I can decide what to review next :)
Q1. How did you discover Dooyoo?
I was on Ciao and saw people mentioning that they were also on Dooyoo. I still copy my reviews over to Ciao, but I'm a true convert!
Q2. Why did you join?
I thought I would copy my Ciao reviews over and see if the money was any better! Now I'm here I can see that the community is also a whole lot friendlier.
Q3. What was your very first opinion on?
The first review I copied over was for BUNAC, who helped me get visas for my summer camp jobs.
Q4. Did you find it easy to get the hang of Dooyoo?
I found the site itself easy to get the hang of, and having been a Ciao user I was familiar with the standard of writing required.
Q5. Did you read other opinions before you posted your first one?
Yes, I didn't want the existing members to think I wasn't going to rate!
Q6. Do you write no/some/many comments?
I write a comment if I have something to say, or just if I strongly agree or think it's a good review. I think I write a fair amount because I like to see comments on my own reviews.
Q7. When you click on the list of Newest Reviews, do you read your friend's opinion no matter what they're on/according to subject no matter who has written it/preferably the opinion of new members?
I tend to first return the favour for people who have read my reviews, I generally pick the review of theirs which interests me the most, then I'll go to newest reviews.
Q8. Do you write your opinions in one sitting?
Generally speaking although I write a lot at work so I get interrupted by calls (gosh, anyone would think I got paid to work!)
Q9. Do you use a spell check?
No. I usually write it out in my email as a draft then copy over. My job as a newspaper typist means I have a good grasp on spelling anyway so I don't make too many mistakes or typos!
Q10. Do you think you can improve your chances of a crown if you suck up to a guide?
I'm not even entirely sure how this whole crown thing works, so I would be pleased to get one, but by no means expect one.
Q11. Are you a member of a forum or chat room?
No
Q12. Does it get to you when members praise or condemn you? Praise is always good. If criticism is constructive then that's fine too. I have to admit I get a little sad if I get a useful as opposed to very useful because I do try really hard on my reviews, but at times something will be harder to write about and I can understand I may not be on top form that day.
Q13. What did you do with your spare time before joining Dooyoo?
Well this isn't actually my spare time, it's what I do when I'm not busy at work!
Q14. What do you wish for the future?
To be happy, that's all you can ask for!
Summary: I've enjoyed my time here so far :)
