Advantages: helps with english, and get to know some lovely people

Disadvantages: only if rushed

I have been a member here since 5th october so not as long as some of you, but i visit the site most days, and i have just read some of the reviews others have wrote regarding dooyoo and one in particular regarding someone who has had their reviews locked made me want to write my own thoughts on it.

When i started here i wrote a few reviews which i admit was money inspired, like a lot of us newbies i would think, so there for were not great reads as i did them so quicky.

Outside of the site im not a very confident person and english was never a strong point of mine at school, and this reflected on my first reviews and i rushed into things without doing the proper research into what was expected of me.

The more time ive spent on here my grammar has improved (at least i hope so!!) and my confidence has grown with each review i write and i enjoy reading others reviews as i then in turn learn from them too in the sense of knowing what content to put into my own, and i find i dont even check the word counter as i first did, it seems to just flow more easily, as i write what im thinking rather than force what i need to say, it has reflected on my ratings as i now get "very usefull" rather than somewhat usefull, you never know hopefully if im here for years to come i may even get a crown!!

I also think that writing on things that are of real interest to me or i feel passionate about makes it so much easier to put down my thoughts and feelings, rather than just looking for something easy.

A couple of weeks ago i had a few of my early reviews locked too, but having read them again since with my new found insight i completely understand why, as they were terrible and so obviously rushed, im not saying thats the case in the other persons review mentioned earlier as i havnt read them, but for me i agreed with the dooyoo teams decision, i did awfull reviews so i dont get my miles for the reviews in question which is fair enough, but hopefully they will see that i have improved in my writing and there is more thought gone into them.

They have since been unlocked as i have updated them and done them to a proper acceptable standard.

My tips for other new members is to try not to rush and find reviews that really mean something to you as it will show in your writing and other readers will appreciate you more.

Summary: great site and i hope i will be here for a long time to come
