Q. How did you discover Dooyoo?

I heard of the site many many years ago and used to be a member but back then the site had very few members i eventually just gave up when only 2 people where reading my reviews! 4 years later the site has a major revamp and better rewards and hence more members. I love the site with its new trendy interface, lots of members and lots of feedback from people. It's revamp encouraged me to come back! and i love it more than ever now. Also i was a member of Ciao before and i felt they were not giving enough rewards and giving a paltry 0.5p per review READ

Q. Why did you join?

I joined mainly because a couple of years ago, i had a insane ambition to be a journalist/author, this is the next big thing! people actually read what i say and think about a topic i choose, it's so fun. I'm loving minute and i am improving my english skills every day!


Q. What was your very first opinion on?

Cant really remember but i am sure it was a music album or a DVD film i think. I mainly review albums and films i watch every now and then again, and after listening i tend to use dooyoo as a way of saying my opinion and warning others of bad albums like timberlake's futuresex/lovesounds album


Q. Did you find it easy to get the hang of Dooyoo?

Very easy, i'm quite skilled with a computer i spent the majority of the day on the computer and internet. The site is soo easy to use and i've now got high speed broadband!

Q. Did you read other opinions before you posted your first one?

Yes of course! I read many reviews and i love how people start and finish a review. Normally i start complaining at people not using paragraphs, but i remember someone's review which i was soo impressed with it inspired me to join and say i want to review things like that!


Q. Do you write no/some/many comments?

I atcually write a comment every now and then i have now reviewed nearly 500 reviews myself, and left about 100 comments so it's 1 in 5 reviews i rate on average i write a comment, but i only write to give advice or if i am REALLY REALLY impressed or inspired by a review!

Q. When you click on the list of Newest Reviews, do you read your friend's opinion?

Not really made any friends so far, but some people randomly added me to their circle of trust - i thought that was really sweet, thank you! I dont look at any other ratings or comments before reviewing because it may bias me, but after i see things like or there is Susan Lesley! what does she think about it or Whizz etc!

Q. Do you write your opinions in one sitting?

Sometimes and sometimes not. Normally i start really slowly and before i know i am typing like a lunatic! writing about how much i dislike or like - i find it like therapy sometimes and so lovely to see the review after on the front page, if i feel mad or angry about something i feel relieved after!


Q. Do you use a spell check?

I'm not great at spelling, i think my english skills are alright and i can write coherently and imaginatively to grab the readers attention but i do have some spelling stuff, occasionally i say the spelling checker is wrong and my spelling is correct, but i really shouldnt!

Q. Do you think you can improve you chances of a crown if you suck up to a guide?

I don't understand why anyone would think this! I would love a crown though it's like a Oscar, grammy or Emmy LOL! but only should get it for writing a superb review


Q. Are you a member of a forum or chat room?

Lots of forums yes and i read even more, mostly music/tv entertainment based forums ;)


Q. What did you do with your spare time before joining Dooyoo?

I do my work for my Psychology university degree which i am currently about 40% through! and i also love listening to music, watching horror films and tv shows mainly USA. I also think Will Young and Girls Aloud are brillant and love listening to their music and watching them on tv, they're always doing the rounds...


Q. Does it get to you when members praise or condemn you?

No! not at all, normally members are right. When some praises my review i feel all happy, when criticized i actually think good point! and i welcome all feedback actually - the community of Dooyoo i think is one of the nicest on the internet, everyone is so supportive, into writing reviews and journalism in general and many people here love reading books i presume so i think we all have that in common!


Q. What do you wish for the future?

On Dooyoo, to get a crown or two LOL! and also to improve my English and write more reviews on this wonderful site!
