Advantages: Honest reviews, honest criticism and a range of topics to read on.

Disadvantages: None spring to mind...

I'll admit that i initially joined the site not knowing what it was all about and joined purely from a perspective of making money. I wrote some pretty poor reviews to start with and had no qualms about that, however the more i have wrote, the more i have began to care about the quality of my writing.

Unfortunately, we aren't all born excellent writers or have nurtured our ability of writing much throughout our lives, so take that into account when giving someone feedback as it's not to say he or she hasn't tried to write something well but maybe simply lack the know how at that given time.

What writing on here has done for me, it has allowed me to be a little more thoughtful about the things i use and criticise whether they do much for me. Not only that but it has allowed me to be a little more imaginative, my problem throughout life is that i always lacked imagination. Furthermore, by reading other people's reviews it has influenced my choice to purchase something, read something, watch a movie or even my thoughts on a topic, so whilst saving me a huge amount of time by filtering out the crap in terms of movies, products and what not, it's also opened me up to other areas of interest i wouldn't normally come into contact with.

As for the community aspect of the site, i can't honestly say i have got involved with that much yet as i'm still a newbie, however i can see that it is a successful system as people seem to genuinely read the reviews, offer fair criticism and lastly by nominating someone for a crown it shows compassion from the other users for rewarding that persons efforts.

From what i've seen so far this site is great and i hope to stick around for a long time.

Summary: It seems a great site so far and i hope to contribute more
