Advantages: Getting paid for your opinion; reading interesting reviews; gaining new knowledge

Disadvantages: Some people are just in it for the money and don't rate back!

I had been reading about Dooyoo for quite a while on the forums on the Money Saving Expert website, but being as I wasn't really getting much time to myself with a new baby to look after I didn't see the point in joining. Well my baby turned one last December and he's in a fantastic sleep routine now (he even goes to bed for TWO whole hours on an afternoon!) and as I'm not looking to go back to work full-time yet I thought this would be a great way of making a few extra pennies for some treats for the family!

I am really impressed with the site; so far I've written over 70 reviews which I've really enjoyed doing; it's given my brain a bit of a boost (any mothers out there will know that having a baby has an adverse effect on your brain cells!) and it's great to be able to read reviews of products and places, both good and bad! My favourite area to read and write about is Discussion; anyone who knows me will tell you I have an opinion on almost anything! It's good to read other people's views even if you don't agree with them.

I think that the Crown incentive is a great idea; it makes me for one want to write my reviews to the best of my (somewhat limited!) ability. I think the fact that you get 1.5p every time someone reads your review is great too, although I would personally prefer to see a range of rewards for reading - I don't think you should get anything for a NU, 0.5p for a SU, 1p for a U and 1.5p for a VU. I think this would discourage those who write rather rubbish reviews from churning out even more of them!

I requested a £40 Amazon voucher about 10 days ago now and I've yet to receive anything; i'm going to give it another week or so and then contact a guide on the site, who I hear are very helpful.

I'm really enjoying reading all of the book and film reviews as well; I've actually gone in to the library and ordered books from some authors I'd never heard of before due to reading excellent book reviews on here.
