WRITING AND REVIEWING WEBSITE ON PRODUCTS, SERVICES AND DISCUSSIONS.

I have only been a member for a month or so. I cannot quite believe some of the top quality writing on this site, masses of talent which is a pleasure to read. One of my colleagues at work mentioned the site generally one morning to a few of us in the office. I thought to myself what a brilliant idea. I always check out the reviews on products before I buy something (if there is one of course).

Books and DVD's seem to me to be the longest and hardest reviews to write, and I think it will be sometimes before I have a bash at one of those. Fabulous writing from others, I assume most are professionals. Very clever, and some are so interesting I would rather read their review than buy the book.

Some of the discussion reviews are incredible, and some have reduced me to tears. I think people are so brave to write about themselves in such detail.

It is great you can earn a few pennies, for reading and writing; I wish they paid you at school for doing some of this.

I have bought several items after reading reviews, especially books, as some of the people writing about this are brilliant. I have also bought DVD's and music, as Amazon even do mp3 downloads, which are very cheap.

It is smashing to meet other members, and you can get an idea of what people are like by the way they write, and I love their sense of humour. I am looking forward to the time, I feel 100% confident with writing, and I do feel I have improved over the past month, looking at my first review.

I imagine unless you are an English teacher, or professional writer many of you out there struggle at first. I find trying to explain myself effectively the hardest part of writing a review. I know what I want to say but somehow it sometimes doesn't come out right. Reading reviews about food are also great, especially chocolate, being a chocoholic. How do they write so much?

People are very helpful and I have received some excellent advice. I have also received negative reviews and comments, but I do not mind as I respect people are entitled to an opinion. I am always pleased to receive comments, and feel chuffed when I get a 'very useful' or even a 'useful'.

I have joined the other review site but I am struggling with how it works, so I think I will stick to this one.

I have rambled on enough so in conclusion this site if helpful to all of us, whether it's for a product, service, or a discussion. Both reading and writing is again beneficial to all of us as it helps keep our brain working!

The only negative point is I have received a couple of nasty emails, when I have rated someone lower than they expect. Some guy revenged my reviews by rating them not useful. Silly man!
