Advantages: Good earner, some nice people and good reviews

I've been on Dooyoo for a while now, and felt like I should review it - mainly to praise, but also get a few things off my chest about it.

If you're on this site reading this you probably have an idea of what it is but just in case, here goes. The site is a review site, where anyone can sign up and submit reviews. Those over 150 words earn 500 dooyoo miles, and every time they are read by a member a further 15 miles. Express reviews of less than 150 words can also be written, but won't be rewarded with the 500 miles credit for writing.

The most positive thing about this site is how easy it is to earn miles - compared to other review sites earning your money is easy. I've recently joined Ciao, which so far has been much less rewarding than Dooyoo. However, this can also be the site's downfall - some people literally write the minimum 150 words to clock up their miles. I say good luck to them, but it's really not quite fair when some people put so much effort into their reviews for the same reward.

The community aspect of the site is also another great positive - people generally will rate back when you rate their reviews and leave some nice comments. Again though, this can be the site's downfall. There is an elect bunch of members of this site who think that only their work is good enough. I personally can't stand the people who are sniffy about things such as writing more than one review in a day. Seriously, if you work days off can be the only time you get to write so you might like to do more than one.

Also, with the select group of people they seem to be the ones awarded the vast majority of the crowns. Crowns on Dooyoo are awarded to the best reviews after being nominated by readers of their reviews. They are worth 1500 Dooyoo miles. The same people seem to be consistently awarded crowns, fairly I reckon as their reviews are often the best quality but I've read some that I think are worth crowns but haven't been considered. It seems you will only but awarded a crown if your review is very, very long. Now these reviews bore me personally but maybe some people like to know more ins and outs than me. Just an opinion.

One other slight annoyance with the site is how long product suggestions take - I've had some sitting there for about a month and don't really get what takes so long!

However, the fact is that if I'm honest I'm on here to chase my £50 cheque. Something eles many people seem to get huffed by, but I doubt many of them are here just out of the goodness of their heart and desire to let consumers know about products. For this, Dooyoo is excellent, the earnings clock up quickly, particularly as you get more reviews behind you. As I haven't yet had enough miles to cahs out for a cheque I can't comment on the speed of arrival, but I did get a message a short while ago saying they were facing a backlog so it may be a bit longer. Other sites such as cashback sites might not have bothered doing this so credit to Dooyoo.

Overall, I think this site is well worth being a member of. There are some review snobs, but most people have been nice. It's a good way to earn a bit of cash and is relativley quick in comparison to other ways of doing this online such as survey sites or cashback sites.

Summary: A good all round site!
