Dooyoo is, as I'm sure you are all aware, a product review website which allows its members to review any and all products in its catalogue to earn points which can be turned into rewards.
What first attracted me to this website was that unlike other money making website such as YouGov or Lightspeed you controlled just how much you earn by writing more reviews. The more you write the more money you make. It means that you don't have to wait to be sent a questionnaire etc about a product to fill in taking thirty minutes of your time and earning a whopping 10p (One Poll anyone?)
Basically the breakdown for reviews is this For a review of a sought-after product, such as electronic items, you'll receive 600 dooyooMiles for posting your review plus 20 dooyooMiles for each member reading you receive. For other products, you'll receive 300 dooyooMiles when you post your Premium Review and 15 dooyooMiles for each member reading, and for reviews in categories that are less popular with consumers researching their products on dooyoo, you'll receive 100 dooyooMiles for your review plus 10 dooyooMiles for each member read .
A premium review is any review which is has over 150 words in them. Once you reach this threshold you begin to earn points and we all know points make prizes. You can save up your points until you make 20,000 which can then be converted into Amazon vouchers or 50,000 points if you want cold hard cash (or a cheque as it is also known).
On top of this for those of you with a great level of written English you can also receive extra points (1,500 I think?) if you write a review which is deemed helpful and well written for receiving a crown on your review. This is a much sought-after prize as it increases your review views.
Once you have written a review and submitted it is then open to your other fellow Dooyoo reviewers to judge your efforts. They can give it one of four ratings (Very useful, useful, somewhat useful and not useful) and can also leave comments. From this you can gauge who people view your reviews although I have often noticed that people are nice to each other to avoid "revenge ratings" (Please keep this up for this review for me too!)
One major complaint I have is that I think there are a great deal of products on the Dooyoo database missing (A number of main gaming consoles) and when you suggest a product it can take quite a while for Dooyoo to add it (For which you get no points for your help).
All in all however, I like Dooyoo and think it is a really innovative system for honest opinions on products. Keep reviewing and rating.
