Advantages: A more realistic paying out system.

Disadvantages: It’ll take that little bit longer to get the £50.

Reminiscent of Harold Macmillan’s famous phrase, British opinion writers ‘have never had it so good’.

Why? The fact that we’re getting paid at all and NOT having to rely on just ‘commission’ from people reading OR voting for our opinions makes it all too tangible for corruption as witnessed at something
like www.epinions.com when there are plenty of members who have written no opinions but vote for plenty (can you see what I’m hinting at?).

Yes, yes it’s getting reduced to 10p an opinion but my God, there are people who are churning out opinions like they just don’t care resulting in a poorer level of output for people like me who are determined to sort through the dross and I’m not afraid to vote against them (although I probably
shouldn’t, in fear of some kind of retribution) OR tell them what I think of their half-hearted opinions.

At least there isn’t a wait to wade through opinions and wondering if you’ll get paid at all (ahem, Ciao) and that you know when your opinion’s been rejected or not (well, I’ve never had that dubious pleasure at dooyoo).

I think though that dooyoo’s treatment of opinions has been of the kid gloves variety and that there probably should be a cull in members and opinions who don’t come up to scratch (if you think that includes me, then so be it....although I’ll argue until I can’t argue no more to prove my worth here)
AND maybe a set limit of opinions allowed for each topic which would be revised depending on dooyoo’s impartiality (I put my faith and trust in the system....mob rule is too incestuous in nature) AND maybe even how useful it is to dooyoo as well as to the users (whaddya mean I don’t trust you? I
trust you about as much as you trust me!).

What can you tell from a bad headline? How do you know that someone isn’t tampering with their ow
n popularity? Why is it only one person’s opinion that can get on the home page at any one time (although
for ease of use, it sure beats having to wait for another slow load rate)? And who are these people who are in my circle of friends but haven’t voted for me?
