Advantages: write
Disadvantages: block
Hmmm, I think I'll just log on and surf straight into dooyoo.... What to do first then..might check a few new opinions. Then maybe I should look at some opinions on that game I was thinking of buying. After that I really must look to see if someone has written about what's gone wrong with my central heating system. So, half an hour later.... Well, I've done all that. I know, now I'll write an opinion. I've written plenty before, so one more shouldn't be too difficult. Masses of topics on here to choose from. Where shall I start? Internet? Nope, done quite a few of those - think I'll leave those alone for a few more days. Maybe a book? Whoops - forgot - I don't read any, so can't really do that. I know, I'll review my favourite music artist, Supertramp. Nope, they're still not on dooyoo. Oh well, maybe a town, city. But I can't decide whether to do a pub or a place of interest. Ok then, theres always football, I can spend hours talking about that if I want to. But something's wrong, I can't decide what to write about. None of the categories or products really sits up and shouts, "write about me!". Its a bit like that Sky digital TV feeling that you sometimes get really - loads of channels and still nothing to watch. Why is this? Maybe I don't like dooyoo anymore? No, of course I still do. Maybe other things are worrying me? Well true, sort of, I guess - my car is always playing up and threatening to go badly wrong, I've just started a new job, etc, etc... Or, maybe I've got writer's block? Well if it is that, I really hope it stops soon, because I like it on here and enjoy writing, reading, rating and making comments. There is a real community spirit on here, indeed it is easily the best internet site I've stumbled across. But perhaps my current situation demonstrates something else about dooyoo - it shows that you CAN
use the site without having to continually write new opinions, but rather use it in different ways, depending on your mood. However, I'm starting to get the urge to want to write again, so if it helps, I'd just like to say, "Writer's block, please go away!" UPDATE 20/01/01 Well, I'm feeling slightly better about this now. Amazingly a thought has also just struck me. Perhaps I am subconciously formulating a new batch of dooyoo opinions in my mind, ready to post onto here, without actually realising it. Maybe if I could find a spare USB lead and plug it into my head, I could even upload these opinions onto my PC without ever having to type them out! Is there any software available for this on the Internet? Must be, surely, I'll just go and have a look...

- 10/03/01 This happens to me all the time, once I actually start writing I'm fine but it can take me ages to actually start. |

- 29/01/01 Ah, writers block - anyone found a cure yet?? Well apart from scrutinising *every* household item you have looking for an op - even the cat is getting scared now! :) |

- 27/01/01 You mean apart from explaining about how one can research for items you are considering buying, how its the first thing that you log on to and commenting about the community spirit that is then, jammy, then? |
