Well hello there, here’s an opinion I had to write before I became the most opinionated member on dooyoo.co.uk – an opinion on the site itself, the site and place and community that has given me a target and something to aim for, letting me have my say on a vast number of products and services. An idea that seems so popular, I’ve joined recently, and have seen that there are thousands of you out there all with your views and thoughts on all sorts of weird and wonderful things.

Firstly, when I came on I was ‘greeted’ with some rather harsh comments, one member, who will remain nameless, wrote an unkind comment on one of my opinions, rating it Not Useful, a revenge rating surely, due to his comment, but when I checked out his/her profile I was surprised to find that the member had not actually written any opinions themselves. Jealousy? Hatred? Maybe that member was just biding his time, taking over a month on an opinion. Anyway, a lot of comments were from members saying that I should cool down with the opinions – someone said the opinions were ‘shi*e’, which I found unfair – as you may see from my profile, I have had mainly Very Useful and Useful ratings, something that I am aiming to achieve.

So, why have people ‘welcomed’ me in this way? I write all of my opinions - I am not a plagiarist as stealing from other people is not exactly showing your own opinion, is it. Nor is it fair on that person – so an advice to you all, do not copy anyone’s opinion, you won’t be very popular. Ok, so many people say I am a churner, and that my opinions are all rubbish.

I have been very careful with what I have said in replies to comments, and find that usually the best response is no response. As aforementioned, I have received high ratings, and I am proud to have achieved this. The Reason I have put so many opinions on in one day is because I write all my opinions out in
Microsoft Word beforehand. I suffer from dyslexia, and find that the grammatical and punctuation support from this program is very helpful, but I apologise to you if I say something that does not make any sense at all!

I am improving in my opinion writing, but I am fairly forgetful, something that some dyslexia sufferers do have to put up with, anyway, here’s more about my eyes of dooyoo.co.uk – a superb site, let me tell you that right now. One last thing – if you are someone that looks at the latest 25 opinion lists, and see my name there, and don’t like seeing it more than once, then the best bet for you is to not read my opinions – please do not waste your time and become flustered, writing a comment in one of my opinions about the number of opinions I have written. If you see the comment writing guidelines, you will see that this isn’t allowed.

Continuing – the site. A very well laid out and presented site, that people from all kind of backgrounds and cultures can have their say about a very wide range of products, services, music and more. I am a very opinionated person, but especially like writing about music, movies, games, shops, services and places to visit, but I am also a very interested person too. I have already read and rated around 9 times the amount of opinions that I have written, and I have to give a special mention to the following members, whose opinions I feel are amazing.

‘yesidoo’, someone who has written a very understanding and touching comment on one of my opinions, I have found her to be very kind and have written some excellent opinions – in particularly the FreeServe opinion. ‘Diaz’ is a member who’s RPG gaming opinions were very exciting to read, and very helpful too. ‘MR COATES’ seems to be a truly excellent person at gaming opinions too – I hope I haven’t embarrassed you three, but you deserved a Special M
ention – as does jillmurphy! But basically, the greatest opinion writers do not fall into one category.

That is the beauty here on dooyoo. I aim to write all my opinions as interestingly as possible, and make sure that they are at least 3 times the minimum word count. There is a hall of fame that around 100, maybe less, Dooyoo.co.uk stars are in, so they probably have the best opinions, read them they will be impressive. Different people have very different writing styles, so bear this in mind – we’re not all the same. Why do people want to write opinions?

Well, you may have bought a product, something that you spent a great deal of time on, something that cost a lot perhaps, and maybe you’ve been treated woefully by the retailers customer service, maybe the product has broken – and you want to express your disappointment, helping others by warning them so that they do not make the same mistake. Maybe you want to tell everyone about your favourite football team, about a day out that was memorable, or about food that tastes really good – there are so many different things to write about here, and if there’s something you want to leave an opinion on that isn’t there, Dooyoo.co.uk will put it up if you ask them to. Can’t say fairer than that.

What do you get for writing opinions then? Well, in monetary terms, you do not get that much – 100 miles, which in cash terms equates to 10pence per opinion, with a rating getting you an extra 50miles, or 5 pence. People have kindly left comments on my opinions, without rating them, so they obviously don’t want to give me the 50 miles. Fair enough, it’s their choice. If you write a top, absolutely incredible opinion that is of use to the community, then you will get a crown status – a symbol in a crown shape, which shows that your opinion is of a high standard.

An extra 1000 miles us awarded for this. Some members, w
ell a lot of members have told me that I will earn more miles if I writer fewer, but longer opinions, and rate loads of other people’s opinions, but I believe by having a say on as much as possible, whilst the opinion remains useful ort very useful, is more important and beneficial than writing just a few opinions. A wider audience can be reached, and you’re helping more people. Plus, I am not here solely for the money – if I was, I’d take their advice most probably.

Some members have been really welcoming, others have not, but I will not bare a grudge – if you do not want to read or rate my opinions, my say on something, then you do not have to, same goes for anything else (Oh and Grinchgirl also has some brilliant opinions). The site is easy to navigate round, although the most annoying thing is the debugging error warning that comes up occasionally when about to rate an opinion – I have clicked no, it then comes up around 7 times more, I get so carried away with the ‘no, no, no’, that when it’s gone, I click on some advertising banner and another window opens up. Naturally I cannot debug dooyoo.co.uk so I can’t click yes! Perhaps this is an issue that needs be addressed.

Profiles – a profile is an excellent thing in my view- I have found a lovely photo of a Silver Siberian Husky dog, and written my profile. Have a look if you like! I will continue writing, rating and enjoying the service provided by this website – I have had an insight to what the community could be like, some of it good, some of it not so much, but in general, as far as opinion websites go, this one is the best, the only one I will probably write my view on.
