Advantages: great organisation, great people on it, a great website
Disadvantages: as i mentioned in my opinion
Now, since this is my very first opinion on Dooyoo, you might be thinking 'well, how can someone who is new to Dooyoo write their first opinion on it?' well, you're right. But I'm not new to Dooyoo, I've been on it for around week now, looking around, getting familiar with the site and reading some of the communities opinions. This opinion is a view of Dooyoo from a beginner's point of view, and a little reminder of why you all stuck with Dooyoo in those early days. The reason that I am on Dooyoo today is because I was referred to by a friend of mine, mmmbuffy. I have quite a few friends on Dooyoo who are also friends off it, if you want to check them out they are mmmbuffy, DooYou, Mr_Ass, martint1983 and heffmester. I think that the main attraction of Dooyoo is the offer of easy money, or somewhat easy money anyhow. You can get ten pence for each opinion that you put on, and then five pence for every time that opinion is read. There is also the added incentive of a crown, or an extra quid for writing really goo opinions. For some people I am sure that the money is the main reason that they Dooyoo, and that is the main reason why I started, but now, sitting here writing this I am finding that I actually enjoy writing opinions, well this one anyway. Since joining Dooyoo I have made a few observations about the site which are the reasons that I think that Dooyoo is so popular, which it really is, I discover new members every day. I have been visiting Dooyoo every day since signing up, and the main thing that I have noticed is that it is so damn easy to find what you want to write an opinion about. There are several categories on the home page, from which you can find whatever you want, there is a sports section for the sports fans of the community, there is a movies and television section for you TV lovers, there is just so much. Not only that, you can also suggest items to be put up if you can't find what you wa
nt. The organisation is absolutely brilliant, now I'm not sure about other opinion websites, because Dooyoo is my first, but if I was to guess I would say that Dooyoo is one of the, if not the best organised opinion site there is. The colours schemes used is great, the yellow of your profile, the green and white of the home and category pages, I love it. There is another thing that I feel a website such as Dooyoo has to offer that makes it so attractive. Most of the time in life I have discovered that when talking to people that sometimes they don't listen to what you have to say and just stand there nodding their head and not caring, anyone else get the same feeling sometimes? That people don't really listen and are only waiting for their turn to speak? Well, not on Dooyoo, the people on Dooyoo actually want to read what you have to say, other wise they wouldn't be reading your opinion. I think that this is a really good reason. Speaking of people listening to what you have to say, I think that another great thing about Dooyoo is that you get to find out what people really think about your opinions. Like I was saying about people not listening, I have also come to discover that people also tend to lie about what they think, saying things such as, "yeah, I agree" when they are really thinking, "yeah, what a load of BS", you know what I'm saying? Well on Dooyoo there is none of that, since you don't personally know most of the people they won't be worried about offending you, and so will tell you what they really think of your opinions by using the rating system or by leaving a comment. That's another thing that I have come to like about Dooyoo, if you aren't sure about something in your opinion, there are people on Dooyoo who the chances are will know, and will be able to fill you in by leaving a comment. I also like the fact that there are just so many great opinion
s here that you can read and learn from. Speaking of opinions, it is also great that if you write a bad one, for whatever reason, you can come back and re-write it, or even make it better. The great thing that I really like about Dooyoo is that Dooyoo provides you with help if you need it. By accessing the 'ethos' area on your profile you can find out how to write good opinions and also the rules of Dooyoo, not to say that these rules make Dooyoo seem worse, the rules are fairly straight forward, such as 'do not copy' and so on. As well as this option, you can also gain access to other people's opinions on how to write well from your profile. I like this option a lot, because it gives beginners like me an opportunity to find out how the best of the best write the very best opinions around. Now, I know that only having one opinion that I'm not really a massive part of the community, but I am part of the community nonetheless, and I have to say that it is a really good aspect of Dooyoo. I'm not sure why it is so good, maybe it is the nice yellow colour of our profiles, I just don't know. Hold on, now I'm thinking, I'm thinking that is the circle of friend's option, I mean what better way to make people feel part of a community than having an option of being able to have friends? I know, it doesn't mean that you are real friends, that it only means that people trust your opinions, but if you feel trusted then you can really feel like you are part of something. Speaking of the community, I find that the fact you have your own personal profile page is really good. On your profile there is all sorts of information about your Dooyoo account, I mean you can look at all of your opinions, you can read the comments on them, you can see who has rated them and how. This isn't the best aspect of our profiles though, the best part is the statistics, you know, the bit that tells you how many times you h
ave rated and left comments (which you can also read), how many times your opinions have been rated and how many time you have received the Very Useful and so on ratings. You can also see how many Dooyoo miles you have collected, as well as having a look at your circle of friends. The user profile is brilliant. There is also the opportunity of greatness on Dooyoo, striving to attain a place in the hall of fame, which I have had a look at and there are some really good writers in there. Of course, I can't leave out the main idea behind Dooyoo, and that is that you can make better decisions, just like it says. If you are going to be buying something, such as a video, you can find out what other people really think about it, because that is another thing about Dooyoo that is better than reality, people tend to follow the leader. What I mean is that if someone respected likes something, then there are going to be people who are going to say that they like just to be like that person, and so will tell you that they think it is really good, when in essence they really don't. Since there on Dooyoo people are writing what they really feel about the product, and not copying someone else, you will be able to find out truthfully what people think. When you think about it, Dooyoo is a place where lying doesn't appear to exist. There is no lying, no cheating, and people pay attention to what you are saying, don't you think? I am also impressed that a massive site such as Dooyoo still manages to load up really, really quickly. Usually when I am on Dooyoo I have two windows opened, so that I can do two things at once, and there isn't many websites where you can have two windows open at the same time with a quick load up time. Like everything good, or just everything in general, Dooyoo does have its disadvantages. The first one is about some of the people on Dooyoo, now I know that this isn't Dooyoo's fault,
but it is the only real disadvantage that I can think of. Now I do know that there is a lot of decent people on Dooyoo for the right reasons, but there are some people on for the money alone. After thinking about the reasons that I am on Dooyoo I came to the conclusion that I need to tell people my opinions on whatever I have opinions on. I know this sounds a bit strange, and it is, because like most people on Dooyoo I was tempted by the offer of free money, but after reading your opinions during my Dooyoo time, I have decided that it is better for me to tell you what I really think about things instead of wanting money. If money were all I wanted, this opinion would have been over quite a while ago. The only other disadvantage I can think of isn't really my own concept, but one of my friends who mentioned this to me. They were saying about how they didn't like how some peoples opinions received a whole lot of reads and ratings, whereas their opinions on the same subjects didn't receive as many. I guess that this isn't a real disadvantage of Dooyoo in particular, but it is the only one I can think of. That's how good Dooyoo is, I can only think of two disadvantages. I guess that I am new to Dooyoo though, so I'll come back and update this opinion if I think of anymore. Hey, if any of you lot know any I'd be happy to hear them. Even though I am new to Dooyoo, I still find myself on it most of the time that I am online, and now that I have begun to write my opinions, I can't help but think that the amount of time that I spend on Dooyoo will increase. But that's not a problem considering that I only pay £5.99 a month for unlimited off-peak Internet access. Hey, I'm not the only one who is on Dooyoo a lot; the friends that I mentioned above are here a lot too. So, if you find a website that you tend to be on most of the time, then you have found a real gem of a website, and that is what Dooyoo i
s, a real gem. I am so glad that I was informed of it and you can be sure that this is the first of many, many more opinions to come. I hope that you?ve liked my opinion a whole bunch!
