Advantages: good pay, more options to write on, pays for everything
Disadvantages: lack of community spirit, layout
Dooyoo is another pay for op-read consumer review site. Its based on the same things as Ciao. Since Ciao cut their payments a couple of months ago, which caused a lot of outrage among the community, I heard about this site so i decided to sign up to it. Dooyoo pays more than Ciao, So maybe your wondering why we havent all flocked to Dooyoo, There are a number of reasons... Signing Up To Dooyoo - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - To sign up you will have to go to the main page. It has the various latest opinions and other stuff which features on the site. On the right it will have a log in bar which you will fill in when you are signed up, across the top right hand corner, it will have a register tab, click on that to register. Then you will be given a sign up form which will take around 2 minutes to fill in, You will be given some other options to sign up to surveys and other stuff which you will be sent by email. Once signed up, you will be logged in and it will be displayed how many reads you have and how many dooyoo miles you have gained. How Much Does Dooyoo Pay? - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Dooyoo pays more in ciao when it comes to reads but ciao pays out more with the premium fund. Dooyoo has its own dooyoo premium fund by awarding crowns to top opinions which can be nominated for a crown at the bottom of the selected opinion. There will be no pay for writing an opinion, your earning will come from getting reads and crown awards, Dooyoo pays: Per Read - 30 miles (3p) Crown Award - 1500 miles (£1.50) This used to be higher but Dooyoo reduced their payments, they are still the highest paying consumer site out their. You will get paid for refering friends to, you will get 100 miles for every opinion they write for the first 10 opinions so if you refer 10 friends which write 10 opinions you will get £10.00 for doing nothing at all. How To Write Opinions? <
br>- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - You can search for a product using the search tab which is featured also on ciao. Once searched for the product you can click on it, then you will be given a choice to write an opinion. You can write 2 opinions, either s hort one or a long one which will earn you dooyoo miles. Then the form will be given to fill out, its similar to ciao but has a few extra features that you have to fill out which will be sent out to dooyoo. They also have a price field which you must fill out, this does not apply to ciao. Once filled out, your opinion is ready and its there for people to read and rate. How To Rate And Comment On Opinions? - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - When reading an opinion, at the bottom it has a pull down bar with a list of options: Very Useful Useful Somewhat Useful Not Useful You will have to rate the opinion accordingly, just like ciao. I find the layout on dooyoo a bit tacky because that its not as easy to find out whos rated the opinion and also whos commented on it. Ciao has a much better layout. Commenting on an opinion is done by clicking on the " comment on opions " tab, then you are given a box to fill out your comments, at the bottom it will show other peoples comments. Once that is done, your ready to rate you next opinion. Very basic stuff, although the layout doesnt help you out much. Subjects To Write About - - - - - - - - - - - - Dooyoo has a lot more subjects to write your ops on, Ciao has a few but it only pays on selected ops. If you want to write and be paid on the ops you want to write, I suggest that you go to dooyoo as it has millions of products and they pay for all of them. This is good because Ciao have not many products and people are limited to what they write on. I noticed that dooyoo have a large amount of music albums which ciao havent, me being a rock fan, t
his pleases me a lot as im paid to write on the things i love. Community - - - - - - - - - Unlike Ciao, Dooyoo has no guestbook feature which means it doesnt have the strong community spirit like ciao has, which is why most people have opted to stay with ciao. Browsing through peoples opinions I have noticed that they have tried to talk by having conversations on the opinions which they are trying to make up for. The community has the potential to be good, but only if they have a guestbook feature. Of course, Ciaos strong community spirit will always be there, as everyone knows each other by now. On dooyoo, there is no community points system, so you dont know whos more experienced than others. This means that everyone rates everyone, but it is harder to get reads on dooyoo as not many people go on it. I find the layout difficult, thats why people dont get as many reads. Conclusion - - - - - - - - - On a whole, Dooyoo is a good opinion site, which pays more in different ways. But i think that the layout and lack of community spirit lets it down. If dooyoo was to get the same layout as ciao, i could see a lot of people flocking to it. As for now, i can see people staying at ciao because of these features, but maybe dooyoo will change? only time will tell......Maybe ciao will change its price plan and it will make members stay...

- 10/03/02 Your opinion does seem to be aimed more at Ciao users, but is still fairly decent.
I disagree with your points about Ciao's layout though, but only because I don't think that displaying who has rated before you is any great advnatage and only leads to a sheep mentality when it comes to rating. This is why everyone rated everything VU until Ciao made public everyone's rating figures and now there's a backlash against people who rate lower than others.
I also disagree with what Snappy says below about the abuse and te PF - the PF is aimed squarely at those who get big reads, and not those who write the best opinions. As for the abuse, you're lucky if they even reply to you! |

- 09/03/02 Pretty good opinion although you are at a disadvantage because so many opinions have been posted in this category and your review doesn't really tell us anything different from the masses before it.
However, what it does seem like is a guide for other Ciao users as ScotGirl says below. |
