Nowadays, it may be just me, but I find the cinema to be a bit on the expensive side. Every so often is ok, but if a large group wants to go together, or even it you want to go regularly, it can end up costing more than you originally were willing to pay. Particularly recently with prices rising in every aspect, teamed with the recession, it is a time when most people could do without paying an arm and a leg to take their family to the cinema.

Orange Wednesdays is a unique concept that allows Orange customers (obviously) to get two cinema tickets for the price of one. The process is pretty simple as the Orange customer will have to text "FILM" to 241 which only takes a matter of minutes, then soon you receive a confirmation text which is shown to the staff at the cinema when booking the tickets, choosing seats and payment. Clearly this only operates on a Wednesday, hence the name! If you choose to take a friend with you, which would probably be a good idea, they don't have to be on Orange network. In all cases, both members of a party don't have to use Orange as their network, but just as long as one member does you will be eligible for 2 for 1 tickets.

I feel this is a great way to save money. A trip to the cinema can prove to be pricey, particularly when you consider the prices of popcorn and sweets, as well as drinks. This literally halves the price of the tickets so its a good trip out and a much cheaper alternative to going on other days.

One drawback I have experienced with this however, is a number of people taking advantage of this offer which is totally understandable but the cinema (my local cinema anyway!) can get very busy so I would advise you to arrive early to make sure you get the seats and film you want.

If you fancy a trip to the cinema, leave it until a Wednesday!
