Advantages: Useful quick links automatic spell checker.
Disadvantages: Constant updates and possibly insecure.
When I first started using Safari I was impressed by the sleek design and the useful links to popular sites.
The browser loads quickly and is easy to use although some things take longer than on internet explorer e.g. adding a site to favourites.
Safari underlines misspellings and offers corrections like on word, this is handy for email and writing reviews.
I do casino bagging and Safari allowed me to access casino software which just didn't load with explorer even after I installed the necessary Flash version. However I have not been able to access AOL email as I am always told cookies haven't been accepted even when I change the security settings.
Apple software updated frequently and requires a restart but this may stop when they have sorted out the obvious bugs. It is important to check what they are including with safari updates as they keep trying to push some "mobile connectivity" thing which tries to change a lot of settings which have no obvious connection to Safari browser.
Security bugs always exist in the early days and I hope constant updates will soon iron these out but since Safari doesn't work with the Norton site verification feature there may be one too many layers of risk.
Summary: Will stick to explorer for now.

- 15/01/09 This sounds quite similar to Chrome which I'm having a play with at the moment! |
