Top Ten Websites

Dooyoo is obviously one of them but I prefer to think of it as Top Ten Websites apart from Dooyoo - otherwise I would only really be listing 9, here goes...

www.bbc.co.uk
I use this site to keep up to date with both world news and local news. I don't watch any news programmes on the TV or buy newspapers so this is the only method I have to keep up-to-date with the goings on in the world.
I also use this site for my sport updates. I believe the Rugby and Football updates are excellent and the ability to "follow your club" so that it only brings up the news for your team rather than the sport as a whole is an excellent idea.

www.lightspeedpanel.uk
This survey site is the best one that I have used. The surveys generally last between 5 and 30mins, and depending on the amount of questions and length it takes to complete, you are awarded Points. These points can be redeemed for products or transferred into your PayPal account. I have been using it for the past 2 months and already have £15 transferred into my PayPal account - not bad for a few hours answering questions. You also get the chance to answer one off questions which get you entries into the prize draw, which can win you a large lump sum.

www.wikiepedia.org
I know academically speaking Wikipedia is to be avoided (quote of previous lecturer) but just for overviews of something and general fact finding I don't think there is a better website out there. You can quickly search for the thing you are looking for, and if more detailed research is required the article has its own bibliography for you to widen your reading.

www.topcashback.co.uk
Like Lightspeed I have only recently started to use this website, but regret not starting earlier. If you purchase many things online then type the company you are buying from into the TopCashBack search engine and if it comes up it will let you know whether you get a percentage of the overall purchase price, a one of lump sum or nothing at all. You then simply click through to the retailer and use that site as you would have done anyway - but with a twist. After a certain length of time the agreed price/ percentage is deposited into your account. I currently have £36 in it, just waiting for it to clear then I can get a few PC games 

www.youtube.com
I'm quite into my music and use this site all the time to listen to songs that I don't have on albums at home. It is very easy to use but due to recent copyright laws many of the songs you may find videos to on one day but they have been removed the day after - so if like me you save each song as a favourite - be mindful that you may need to constantly update these to keep in line with the videos available.

www.yahoo.co.uk
This is my email provider. I do have a hotmail.com one aswell but due to the recent changes on that I have set up a yahoo.co.uk. I believe the interface is much easier to use as it just has the basic requirements that I need. Like all the other email providers it gives you a limit in what size emails you can send but this has never been a problem with myself who only attaches one or two photos if I need to on an email.

www.facebook.com
What list would be complete without Facebook - what would we do without it eh. I don't actually like the site but use it more than any other. I like to be nosey and read other's status updates and put my two penny worth in. I use it more for the games that are on there to prove to myself better than the others - which never happens 

www.softpedia.com
For freeware or shareware software this is the website to visit. The sheer volume of software available is immense, and as such the owners of the website have broken down the downloads into sections, such as office suites, science programmes, I Phone etc. Whatever piece of software you require give this website a check first to see if there are any alternative Freebies out there that could save you a small fortune - for something that will do the same job.

www.computeractive.co.uk
Same as above really, but with this website it gives you guides on how to do things. The magazine itself is excellent but I prefer to use the website because A its free and B you can read more in depth reviews about products that are available. The help guides give you simple step by step instructions on how to do things such as partitioning your hard drive or how to create a database. Useful for experts and novices alike.

www.mousebreaker.com
Whenever I am bored or only have 5 minutes before the next thing I need to do - queue a visit to this site. Endless hours of fun can be had on this site with hundreds perhaps thousands of games to suit any taste. Just be warned many are addictive and might just overrun your break at work 

Summary: See if you like any of these...
