I have been using yahoo answers for near on two years, though i must admit i have been negecting it the last few days since i came across dooyoo.

Yahoo answers is a website, which you can answer other users questions and them answer yours all this is through a point system that i will explain below, the points cannot be exchange for reward it is purely question and answers site.

There is several catogories which you may ask of answer questions in, and then sub catogories so you can make sure your answer or question is in the right place.

The website is easy to use. It is also can be a lot of fun i have made a few friends there, from all over the world as it is not just for the uk and ireland, though you can just ask for uk questions only.

The answers you can get vary there are some experts out there but mainly it is every day people like you and me. You can get some good answers, but some people can answer just for the two points or just to be a troll, i have seen some very mean answers and rude questions, these can be reported, they have too be report by more than one person, this is so people do not abuse this or use it for revenge. You can block people you do not like and also add people as contacts, you can also vote on someones answer giving a thumbs up or down, you cannot do this till level 2.

Point system
There are 7 levels and each level you go up you get more perks you can ask more questions, rate peoples answers, answer more question and star more peoples questions for being intersting.
The level/point system goes
level 1 - 1 - 249
level 2 - 250 - 999
level 3 - 1,000 - 2,499
level 4 - 2,500 - 4,999
level 5 - 5,000 - 9,999
level 6 - 10,000 - 24,999
levell 7 - 25,000+
the higher level you are on the more 'perks' you get.

answering a question you get 2 points
for asking you lose 5 points, but you get 3 back for choosing a best answer.
when you log in to answers 1 point daily
vote for a undecided answer 1 point
have you answer selected as best answer 10 points
deleting your answer lose 2 points
if no best answer was chosen for your question your points are returned.
