Advantages: quite entertaining

Yahoo Answers whether it be UK&Ireland or their US cousin at .com, is pretty annoying in my book. Type in a query and the ubiqutious links to Yahoo Answers are there.

I would definitely recommend against relying on any advice this site has to offer as anyone can reply to your question, so if you ask:"How do I take my socks off?" and they reply "Shoot yourself in the head", don't do it! Particularly advisable since a lot of the people replying seem to be of limited brain cells, I've regularly seen wrong answers given and the spelling often leaves a lot to be desired.

As sources of information goes, this has to be one of the dodgiest on the internet and highly recommend avoiding it unless you want to pop along for a few laughs of just how silly some of the questions and answers are.

Researching the topic you are looking for is normally not too tricky with the use of wikipedia and in particular some specialised websites concerning the subject related to your query. If you do have a really difficult question and put it up on Yahoo Questions, it's unlikely you'll get a reply and if you do it's likely to be incorrect!

Summary: No way I'd listen to it!
