Yahoo! Answers (or Y!A for short) is a question and answer based website where you can get answers to almost any question, providing that it doesnt break any of the rules or terms and conditions.

The majority of the members there are extremely helpful and you can almost always get an aswer to whatever question you ask which is very useful. Of course there are the usual people there who don't give sensible answers and are generally rude but the report button comes in very handy where these people are concerned.

You can earn points there by answering other peoples' questions and then use these points to ask your own questions. Each question answered is worht 2 points and every question asked loses you 5 points. However, if your asnwer is chosen as best answer for the question, you get 10 points. If you choose a best answer for your question you get 3 points. You start with 100 points for verifying your email address and you also get 1 point every day that you log in.

Summary: In general, a very good question and answer website!
