Advantages: All you need to manage your domains

Disadvantages: I hear support isn't great.

I use 123 Reg to register and manage my domain names. My personal experience with them has been good, but then I have not yet needed support from them. However, they do have a helpful FAQ section.

Registering domain names is quite simple. You simply choose what domain name you want (which may or may not be available). 123 Reg will give you a list of that name and what suffixes are available (e.g. domain.co.uk or domain.net). You can then choose which domains you want and, in some cases, for how long you want to register them for (.uk domain names can only be registered 2 years at a time, some other domains can be registered for up to 10 years at a time). When you have added your domains to the basket you can follow the steps for details and payment (you can even pay with PayPal if you wish). Prices are very competitive.

Managing domains with 123 Reg is also quite simple. If you view your domains as a list it will also list renewal dates and renewal status.

123 Reg allows complete control over domain names. You can set-up web and/or email forwarding, manage DNS, change nameservers or IPS tag, opt out of WHOIS, transfer the domain to another 123 Reg user or display/print an invoice. Domains can also be transfered into 123 Reg in a simple manner.

POP3 mailboxes, domain watchers and subdomains can also be purchased using your account.

123 Reg also offer a range of other services including e-commerce and web hosting.
