A great place for registering cheap domains (123-reg.co.uk)

I'm a web developer and so have had a lot of experience with different domain name registration and hosting companies, and I've found 123-reg.co.uk to be one of the better sites in this market.

123-Reg offer a wide range of services, from domain registration to website & email hosting and instant website creation tools. I only really use 123-Reg for domain registrations, as I find it's one of the cheapest sites out there at £2.99 per year for a .co.uk domain and £9.99 per year for a .com... you might find slightly cheaper registrars but I've never had a problem with 123-Reg, so am quite happy to stick with them.

Registering a domain is easy - simply type in your required keyword or keyphrase and 123-Reg will tell you what extensions are available, from a choice of around 40. Select the domains you want and add them to your basket. Payment can be made online by credit/debit card or through PayPal. If you domain isn't available, 123-Reg will do their best to come up with some related suggestions (although they're usually quite spammy).

When you've ordered your domain, you'll have access to your own control panel where you can alter your details or change your nameservers (as I use it for). In my opinion, it is this control panel which lets 123-Reg down as it's not greatly easy to use, being set inside a frame. 123-reg need to re-look at the design of this area. Plus, you need to close your browser to log-out of the website... why? I don't wanna close my browser! Just unset the session!

On the whole though, I'm a big fan of 123-Reg and it's always the place I recommend to my clients to register their domains... plus I get affiliate commission from them! :)
