justgiving.co.uk ... is a website for charities and fundraisers to enable them to accept online donations and publish their fundraising efforts online. *Layout and navigation* The website is very simply laid out. The homepage contains a changing array of people s photos and the amount they have raised through justgiving. You can use the search bars to search for a friend who is being sponsored, or search for a charity to donate to (though I would recommend you do this in another way as justgiving do take a cut of the donations). In the top right hand corner is an icon to allow you to sign up to make a fundraising page. Scrolling down there is news about the charities involved... Freegle ... have an awful habit, something I m trying desperately to kick!. Not smoking, not drinking, (although I do do those) not picking my nose and eating it. My guilty little secret is that I m a compulsive hoarder, and always have been. I think it stems from my family not havign an awful lot when I was younger, so items would be handed down, or kept in storage just in case they ever became useful again . I really don t like to throw anything away that could potentially be useful to me later, or perhaps to someone else , sometime. freebmd.org.uk ... think this is an absolutely fabulous site, a brilliant project and many thanks to all those who volunteered to enter information as that s what they did! Volunteers entered births, marriages and deaths into this database so that others could have the information for free. I have been doing research for over 10 years and this is one of the best ways of making a start in research. I now research for others from home. Type in the surname and name of the person you d like to search for and if you know the area that also, basically put in as much as you can to start with and click search, if it works - bingo you have your answer! if it doesn t then take out a few of the bit...
