This site is a search engine for leisure activity internet sites. The term 'leisure' is used here in its widest sense.

The categories include:

Art, Motoring,
Astrology, Computing, Going Out, Home entertainment, Pets and animals, Crafts, Fun and Games, Food, Photography, Reference, Internet, Kids, Travel, Sport, etc. New categories are being added all the time.


The site claims that the listing for each site included here has been independently researched.

I entered the word 'guitar' in the search box as this is one of my leisure activities. I was presented with one site that dealt primarily with guitar tablature. Nothing else was offered.


My second search was on 'caligraphy'. This yielded nothing.

Next I tried 'tapestry' (which isn't an obscure leisure activity). Three different sites were offered here but two of them were just sales sites and didn't offer any information on the subject. The third site was fairly interesting.

My final search was on 'watercolour painting'. This yielded an impressive list of nine sites offering advice on materials and instruction. Ten out of ten for this selection of sites!

The 'Going Out' section is new on the site so I decided to give it a try. Clicking on the link gives you a choice of cinemas, restaurants, clubs, concerts, day trips, etc. Theatre and tickets online is also available from here. Clicking on the 'day trips' option gives you a choice of theme parks, museums, festivals, and zoos. I chose theme parks. This page listed 7 theme parks with descriptions, locations, etc. This particular section was last updated on September 13th this year.

There is a bulletin board on this site but I had difficulty opening it.

This site www. a-zleisure.com is all UK information and it is one of a number of sites providing UK based information. The others are: a-z
Money and Living.

There doesn't seem to be enough information on this site at present. The searches I did for sites on hobbies that are quite mainstream show this.

The result for water colour was good but the others were poor.

This site appears to be growing as can be seen by the items marked 'new'. I think it has a lot of potential as more sites are added. The sites it did bring up in answer to my queries were quality ones (there is a % figure beside each listing to tell you how relevant the site is) and the search itself was fast.

This site is, in my opinion, worth watching. It has the potential to be a very valuable resource if the quality of entries is maintained.
